Sometimes it’s great to do something to stretch your creativity and just for the fun of it! So, I was excited when my friend Kirsten (Kirsten Smith Photography) reached out to me to help design and style a spring table-scape design.
We wanted to make it beautiful but also attainable as well. I had never worked with the floral designer or cake person before and we had a Pinterest board that had a wide range of ideas! The only detail I knew was that the florist, Alyssa from Rouge Petal Co had gotten some vintage pink vases and was using silk flowers (her specialty). So, I went on the search for a few pieces to inspire me and curated some vintage blush glasses from Home Goods, a simple runner from Target and chargers from Pier 1. The rest I used things I already owned.
I couldn’t find enough of the blush pink glasses at Home Goods so I pulled the yellow ones from my own collection and made the glasses “mixed and matched”… I loved it! Then when I showed up at the shoot and saw that Alyssa also had yellow glass vintage vase’s I knew it was meant to be!
The incredible lemon and thyme cake that Allie created from Bramble Bakes also matched perfectly with its yellow lemon curd topping! It was sooooo delicious! Her styling on the cake was also pure perfection!
Jenna & Elizabeth from Lil Bit Heart created the sweetest Easter Brunch invitation and Kirsten captured it all so beautifully!
We had such a beautiful evening to create, make new friend’s , share hearts and encourage one another! I was so grateful to be a part of it.
I hope these simple ideas can spark a lil creativity when you go to set your table for your next gathering of friends and family.
Thanks to White House Caterers, Overhills Mansion and Barnes Farmhouse Tables also!
